Danskundervisning

The Danish Seamen's Church is offering lessons for beginners and intermediates. While both levels will be taught during the same class, the lessons will be tailored to the needs of the individual students.  All material will be composed by the teacher.  We will also look at newspaper articles, song lyrics and poems and do some role playing and play board games. Each lesson will break with a trip to "Cafe Seamen's Church" for a cup of coffee and "hygge" - socializing Danish style.

The classes will be taught by Søren Madsen.  He was born and raised in

Odense, Denmark and has a teacher certification from Denmark.  Søren has taught at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn for the past 17 years.

Classes will take place Mondays from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Seamen's Church.

The course runs 15 Mondays starting January 28.

The fee is $200 plus materials (mainly photocopies). Please bring the payment to the first class in cash or on a check written out to the Danish Seamen's Church
