Retired couple seeks accommodations in NYC

We offer 1 1/2  50 m2 floors, of our landmark house on Christianshavn's kanal near the Christianshavn Metro Station (Overgaden oven vandet 16, 1415 KBH K) (Bed room, Living room, shared Bath and shared eat-in kitchen (shared with young BT Journalist caretaker who lives in upper 2 floors)), central heat, washing machine, dryer, Cable TV, in exchange for suitable accommodations in central NYC (Brooklyn heights vicinity, Manhattan below 96th st.). Ideal for a single person or a couple without children.

We are a retired Danish/American couple (school teacher-university professor) living in Denmark and the South of France. We want to spend 6-8 weeks in NYC, either between Labor-Day through Thanksgiving, or Easter to Memorial day this coming year. The Copenhagen house is available almost anytime, and it could be made available for a period of up to 3 months, either as an almost simultaneous exchange or at some other period.
